Body Of Missing Man Found On Natchez Trace Parkway
The search for a missing Spring Hill man came to a close during the weekend when his body was discovered on the Natchez Trace Parkway in neighboring Wayne County.
Martin Richard Tate, 47, is believed to have died as a result of a slip and fall injury at Sweetwater Branch near mile marker 363. He was last seen on Thursday and a missing persons report was filed by his wife on Friday.
National Park Service officials report that park rangers discovered Tate’s vehicle in the Sweetwater Branch parking lot. Members of the Wayne County Sheriff’s Department and Spring Hill Police Department responded to the scene and a search of the area was conducted, leading to the discovery.
Maury Regional Emergency Medical Services assisted in the operation, as well.
